Hugh Hunter To John Brinson
Deed 125 acres
This Indenture made this 12 day of September in the year of our Lord one
thousand Eight hundred and thirty eight between Hugh Hunter of the County of Duplin
and State of North Carolina of the one part and John Brinson of the same State and
county of the other part witnesseth that I the said Hugh Hunter for and in consideration
of the sum of twenty five dollars to me in hand paid by the said John Brinson the receipt
is hereby acknowledged and I the said Hugh Hunter hath bargained sold and set oven
unto the said John Brinson one certain tract or parcel of Land lying and being in the
county of duplin on the Eat side of the No. Est river and Est side of muddy Creek it
bing the part of a tract that fell to Isaac Pagiette of the lands of Joab Pagit decsd
beginning at a stake on Edward Hunter line and William Pickett corner thence as his
line runs So 10 wt 40 pole to a lightwood stumpt Pickett corner thence as his other line
runs No. 13 Wt 66 pole to a pine across the road then So. 73 wt. 18 pole to stump on
Pickett line thence as his and Edward Hunter line runs to the beginning containing by
estimation twenty five acres be the same more or less all my right title and claim to said
land with all the improvements hereditements and appertainces there unto belonging in
any ways I the said Hugh Hunter do warrant all my right title & claim to said John Brinson
to him and his heirs and assigns from me and my heirs forever and from any person or
persons for me in witness whereof I the aforesaid Hugh Hunter have hereunto set my hand
and affixt my seal this 12th day of September 1838

The execution of the with in deed is duly proved in open Court by the oath of Edward Hunter
