State of North Carolina
Know all men by them presents that Henry Moore of the State & County aforesaid have for
and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and Twenty Dollas to me in hand paid by
Richard Launders & Co of the County of New Hanover & State aforesaid sold Bargained
conveyed & confirmed to the said Richard Launders & Co cirtain Lots or parcels of Land
situate Lying and being in the County of Duplin and State aforesaid on the Wilmington
and Raleigh Rail Road at or near the depot called Warsaw including all the Lots lying on
the West side of said Rail Road and on the North of Fayetteville Street laid out in the
plan of said Town as Lots number Twenty four Twenty Five Twenty six Twenty seven & Twenty
Eight Begining at a stake the south east corner of Rail Road and Fayetteville streets
thence runing up Fayetteville Street three hundred and thirty feet to the western catrinity
of Lot number Twenty four then or North eighteen west three Hundred and three feet to
General William L. Hills Line the old Road From Fayetteville to Newbern thence down said
Road (Hills line) to Rail Road Street thence sough eighteen east Two hundred & sixty four
feet to the Begining containing by estimation Two and a half acres more or less Which said
Lots or parcils of Land with all improvements I bind my self my Heirs Executors Administrators
and assigns to warrant and forever defend the Right and title of said lots of Land to the said
Richard Launders & Co their Heirs and assigns forever against the Lawfull claim or claims of
any person or persons whatsoever In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this
the Twenty fourth day of May in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and thirty nine
