Henry Holley To Richard Bardly
This indenture made this twenty fifty day of August 1786, in the year of our Lord
one thousand seven hundred and eighty six. Between Henry Holly of the County of New Hanover
& State of No. Carolina of the one part & Richard Bradley of the County of Duplin and State
aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth, that the said Henry Holly for & in consideration of
the sum of forty five pounds current money of the State aforesaid to him in hand paid by the
said Richard Bradley before the ensealing & delivering of these presents, the receipt whereof
he the said Henry Holly doth hereby acknowledge hath given granted bargained sold aliend
conveyed and confirmed & by these presents doth give grant bargain sell alin convey & confirm
unto the said Richard Bradly his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land situate
lying & being in the County on the north side of Goshen Swamp & in the fork of Bear Marsh.
Begining at a gum in the Branch near John Sheffield's line, & runing east along Reuben Weston's
line to a small post oak on the great path, thence along a line of marked trees to the branch,
& thence down the various courses of the branch to the first station, containing by estimation
one hundred acres be the same more or less, being part of a tract granted to Reuben Weston &
by him conveyed to the said Henry Holly & by him to the said Richard Bradly or by this deed
doth appear. To have and to hold the said bargained premises with all houses orchards ways
water & water courses heriditaments profits commodities or advantages unto the same belonging
or in any ways appertaining & the said Richard Bradly his heirs and assigns shall and may from
time to time & at all times forever hereafter by free virtue of these presents, lawfully peacibly
& quietly have hold occupie possess and enjoy the said bargained premises freely & clearly acquit
and discharged from all former gifts grants bargains sales wills leases mortgages intails & all
manner of incumbrances whatsoever & I the said Henry Holly for myself my heirs executors
administrators & assigns & every of them do warrant and forever defend the said bargained premises
unto him the said Richard Bradley his heirs and assigns forever from the lawfull claims or claim
of all and every manner or person or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set
my hand & seal this day & date above written.
