Henry Hewlet To John Frank
Deed 100 acres
This Indenture made this Thirteenth Day of Febuary in the year or our Lord one
thousand seven Hundred and Eighty four Between Henry Hewlet of the County of Duplin and
State of North Carolina of the one part and John Frank of the County of Jones and state
aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Henry Hewlet for and In consideration
of the sum of Twenty four pounds specie to him in hand parid by said John Frank before
the sealing and Delivery hereof the Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge; he the
said Henry Hewlet hath granted bargained and sold aliened and confirmed and by these
presents doth grant bargain and sell alien and confirm unto the said John Frank his heirs
and assigns forever one Hundred acres of Land lying and being in the County of Duplin
situate on the West side of the Beaverdam of Limestone about half a mile above where the
Road crosses said Beaverdam swamp Begining at a white oak on the side of the swamp and
Runs Wt. 126 poles to a blackjackthence No. 164 to a pine on the side of the Beaverdam
swamp thence to the Begining Et. 70 poles to a stake on Solomon Coxes line in said swamp
thence the Begining the above mentioned land was granted to the said Henry Hewlet by
Patent bearing Date the twenty ninth day of October 1782. And all and singular the Rights
Previledges Heridittaments and appurtainances to the same or any part thereof in any manner
belonging or appurtaining and also all the Estate Right Title Interest claim and Demand
whtsoever of him the said Henry Hewlet of in and to the Premises and Every part and parcel
thereof To have and to hold the said one hundred acres of Land and Premises above mentioned
and every part and parcel thereof with the Heridittaments and appurtainances thereunto
belonging unto the said John Frank his Heirs and assigns tot he only proper use and behoofe
of the said John Frank his heirs or assigns forever and the said Henry Hewlet for himself
and his heirs the aforesad one Hundred acres of Land and premises and every part and parcel
thereof against him and his heirs and against all and every other person and persons
whatsoever to the said John Frank his heirs and assigns shall and will warrant and forever
defend by these presents In Witness whereof he the said Henry Hewlet hath hereunto set his
hand affixed his seal the Day and year first written
