George Williams To Curlin Smith
Deed 200 acres
State of No. Carolina Duplin County
This Indenture made this eight day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred
and ninety. Between George Williams of the County of Duplin and state aforesaid and Curling Smith of
the state and County aforesaid of the part Witnesseth that the said George Williams for and in
consideration of the sum of fifty pounds To him in hand paid before the Ensealing and Delivery of these
presents by the said Curling Smith the Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and himself therewith
to be therewith fully satisfied, contented and Paid and every part and parcel thereof Hath given granted
bargained sold aliened enfeoffed conveyed confirmed assigned and set over unto the said Curling Smith
and by these presents doth fully freely and absolutely give grant bargain sell alien enfeoffe convey
confirm assign and set over unto the said Curling Smith his heirs and assigns forever all that Tract or
parcel of Land situate Lying and being in the state and County aforesaid on the West side of the north
East River and north side of the Grove swamp on the River at the Confluened of the two water being what
is called the main or great Run of the grove thence up the meanders of teh River about fifty poles to
the corner of John Neales Land a live oak thence as John Neales Line North 85 Wt. 238 poles to a pine
his corner thence the same course continued 20 poles to a stake on Isaac Hunters line thence along his
line So. 27 Et. 50 poles to a stake his corner thence up the swamp with Hunters inside or open line a
course nearly So. 85 Wt. 190 poles to a Cypress George Williams Corner by the Creek thence to the Creek
and Down the Meanders thereof the River the Place of Begining containing by Paten two Hundred acres more
or Less to have and to hold the above Bargained Land and premises with the appurtainances thereunto
belonging to him the said Curling Smith his heirs and assigns in as full and ample a manner as he the
said George Williams could or migh enjoy without the LEast let Hindrance molistation or Interruption
of him the said George Williams his heirs and assigns or without the least lett hindrance molistation
or Interruption or any other person or persons whatsoever and that free and clear and freely and clearly
aquitted of and from all and all manner gifts grants bargains sails leases wills mortgages Intails
jointers judgements dowers Executions Extents and Troubles of any kind whatsoever had made Done or
committed by him the said George Williams his heirs and assigns except the yearly quit rents that may
become Due and the said George Williams doth hereby covenant and engage to warrant and Defend the said
Curling Smith his heirs and assigns in the Quiet and Peaceable possession of the above bargained Land
and premises against the Just and Lawfull Claim and Demand of any person or persons whatsoever. In
Witness whereof the said George Williams have hereunto set his hand and Fixed his seal the Day and year
first above written.
