George W. Glisson To James Winders Senr.
Deed 250 acres
North Carolina Duplin County
To all to whom these presents shall come greeting. Know ye that George W.
Glisson of the County and State aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of four
hundred and forty dollars to me in hand paid before the sealing and delivery of these
presents the receit whereof I do hereby acknowledge myself to be fully satisfied contented
and paid have bargained and sold unto James Winders Senr of the same State and County
a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the aforesaid County of Duplin on both
sides of the little marsh in the fork of goshen and North East beint the whole of a tract
land of two hundred acres patent by John Sullivan and by said Sullivan conveyed to Andrew
Gufford known by the name of the Whitfield Herring place where Reddin Summerlin did
live & Begining at a stake in the head of the sown skin Sniped corner and runs No. 48 po
to black jack then So. 80 Est 126 po to a pine then So. 58 Et. 56 po to a stake near the
pritty meddow then So. 166 po to a pine and Black jack near the head of the School House
branch then Wt. 176 po to a pine and stake Snipes corner thence his line to the Begining
containing in the whole two hundred and fifty one acres be the same more or less which
land I the said George W. Glisson do warrant and forever defend unto him the said James
Winders his heirs and assigns forever free and clear from me my heirs Excestors
administrators and assigns forever and from any persons or claims whatsoever claiming
by from or under me unto him the said James Winders with every profit or appetainance
there unto belonging or in any wise appertaining in witness where of I the said George W.
Glisson have hereunto set my hand and seal the 25th of April A. D. 1839 signed sealed
and delivered in presents of us

the execution of the within deed is duly proved in open court by the oath of Carles Winders a
