(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book E Page 396, 397, 398, & 399 Ezekiah Blizzard To Owen O’Daniel Deed 50 acres This Indenture made this Thirteenth day of November in the year of one thousand seven hundred and eighty four Witnesseth that I Ezekiah Blizzard of North Carolina and the County of Duplin province planter for the valuable sum of fifteen pounds specie money to me in hand paid before the Ensealing and Delivery hereof well and truly paid by Owen O’Daniel of Duplin County & province of No. Carolina planter the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge myself therewith to be fully satisfied and Contented therewith and of Every part and parcel thereof Do Exonerate acquit and Discharge the said Owen O’Daniel his heirs and assigns forever Executors administrators and assigns forever by these presents have given granted Bargained and sold aliened Conveyed and Confirmed unto the said Owen O’Daniel his heirs Executors admins. And assigns forever one messuage or Tract of Land lying and being in the County of Duplin and province of No. Carolina on the South side of the No. East of Cape fair it being part of a tract of Land taken up by William Teague paten bearing Date the year of fifty nine. Beginning at a pine the third corner of the survey running So. 77, Wt. pole to a pine William Dunkon Corner of the same Land that Harmon Bass formerly lived on thence Running No. 15 Wt. 132 pole to a maple William Dunkons lower corner of the above said Land and thence going Owen O’Daniles swamp Land and thence Runnign with his line a straight Course to the Beginning Containing fifty acres more or less to have and to hold the above Bargained premises with all the appurtenances and previledges thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the said Owen O’Danile his heirs and assigns forever to him or them only proler use benefit and behoof forever and I the said Ezekiah Blizzard for me my heirs Executors administrators and assigns Do covenant and Engage to and with Owen O’Daniel that before Ensealing and Delivery hereof I am the true Soul and Lawfull owner of the above Bargained premises and am Lawfully seased and possessed of the same and have in myself good Right and Lawfull authority to sell convey and confirm to the same In manner as above said and that the said Owen O’Daniel him or his heirs and assigns shall and may from time to time and at all times forever hereafter by force and virtue of these presents peaceably and quietly hold use occupy and possess and Enjoy the above Demised and Bargained premises with the appurtenances free and Clear freely and Clearly acquitted and Discharged of and from and all other gifts grants Bargains Sales Leases mortgages Dowers wills Intails Judgments Incumbrances or any other writer whatsoever farther more I the said Ezekiah Blizzard for myself my heirs Executors & Adminsrs. Do promise to Defend the above Demised premises to him the said Owen O’Daniel him his hers Executors administrators and assigns against the Lawfull Claims or Demands of any person or persons whatsoever forever hereafter do warranct secure and Defend the same against the Lawfull Claims or Demands of any other person or persons whatsoever unto him the said Owen O’Daniel his heirs and assigns forever and I the said Ezekiah Blizzard me my heirs Executors administrators or Either or us I shall and will at any time at the Reasonable Request of him the said Owen O’Daniel him his heirs Executors administrators and assigns make or cause to be made at the proper Cost and charge in the Law of the said Hezekiah Blizzard and see such Deeds or conveniances of the said Owen O’Daniel him his heirs or assigns or therein the Law shall Advise for the more Better Rights to the said Land to him the said Owen O’Daniel as Witness my hand and seal Signed Sealed and Delivered In Presence of us Hezekiah Blizzard Dampsy Taylor Thomas Taylor State of No. Carolina Duplin County January Term 1792 Then was the within Deed acknowledged in open Court and ordered to be Registered.
