Ephraim Stricklin & Tabither Stricklin To Henry Carlton
Deed for 3 acres
This Indenture made this Twenty second day of October AD one Thousand Eight hundred thirty
Eight Between Eapharim Stricklin and his wife Tabitha Stricklin of the County of Duplin State
of North Carolina of the one part and Henery Carlton of said County State of the other part
witnesseth that the said Epharam Stricklin & Tabeither Stricklin for and Inconsideration of
the sum of one hundred dollars to them in hand paid befor the sealing and delivering of these
presents the recipt where of is here by acknowledge hath granted bargain and sold unto the
said Henery Carlton a certain tract or parcel of land in the County aforesaid and Bounded as
follows Begining at a stake Henery Carltion corner sixty five feet east of the center of the
Wilmingtorum and Raleigh Raile Road and said Henery Carltion corner his half acre lot and runs
paraleld with said road North 18 degreese to sarnwell slacks line thence as his line East to
Hampton Sullivins now Nicholas P Matthews line in middle of the lisbun road thence as said
said mathuse line to the corner of said Carlton lot of one half acre thence as his line North
18 west to another of his corners then his other line South 72 wt to the begining containing
about three acres be the same more or less and the said Eapharim Stricklin and Tabithea
Stricklin doth for them selves there heirs warrent & and defend the said land and premises to
the said Henery Carlton his heirs and assigns from and against the lawful claim or claims of
all and every person or persons whatever by these presents In witness where of the said Ephraim
Stricklin and Tabither Stricklin hath hereunto set here hands and seals the day and date above
written signed sealed & delivered in presets of
