Elisha Farles To Bibby Bush
Deed for 200 acres lands
This indenture made this tenth day of January 1788. Between Elisha Farles
of the one part & Bibby Bush of Dobbs County of the other. Witnesseth, that I the
said Elisha Farles for and in consideration of fifty pounds to him in hand paid
before the ensealing hereof do bargain & sell unto the said Bibby Bush a certain
tract or parcel of land lying & being in Duplin County, containing two hundred acres
as by the paten doth appear, being the plantation that John Smith now lives on, in
the fork of the Great Branch. Begining at a pine in the piney pond & runing thence
the various courses of the patent that the said Farles obtained for the said land.
To have and to hold the said Bibby Bush his heirs & assigns with all advantages woods
ways & water courses, & for any part the aforesaid Elisha Farles my heirs & assigns
doth hereby promise & engage unto the said Bibby Bush his heirs & assigns shall
peacibly & quietly hold use & occupie & enjoy the aforesaid land and premises with
all the appurtenance to the same belonging, and as for the said Elisha Farles my heirs
and assigns will forever defend the aforesaid land and premises as aforesaid to Bibby
Bush his heirs and assigns forever. In witness whereof I have set my hand & fixed my
seal this day & date first written.

Then was the within deed proved in open Court by the oath of James Outlaw & ordered
