Elias James two hundred and fifty acres of land in Duplin County on the branches of 
Rockfish.  Begining at a pine Frank Blakes corner a little South of the Road.  Thence his 
line No. 116 poles to a black jack Mathew Johnstons corner.  Thence his line West 110 
pole to a pine.  Thence his other line North 70 poles to a pine on a Marsh side.  Thence 
up the Marsh 90 poles to a pine his own corner. Thence conrinued 54 poles to a white 
oak on Isham Sellers line then his line So. 20 Et. 43 poles to a pine. Thence Jacob 
Powells line No. 70 Et. 164 poles to a lightwood tree.  Thence his other line So. 20 Et. 
54 poles to a pine, thence to an with John Goffs line No. 40 Et. 114 poles to his corner 
a stake.  Thence to the begining.
