Hill Ded of sale for 886 acres This indenture made the 26th day of January in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred & thirty nine between Elijah Bizzell of the State of North Carolina & County of Duplin of the one part & William L. Hill of the County & State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that I the said Elijah Bizzell for and in consideration of the sum ot Two Thousand six hundred & fourteen dollars to me in hand paid by him the said William L. Hill before the signing and delivering of these presents the Receipt & payment where of is hereby acknowledge the I the Said Elijah Bizzell have bargained and sold unto him the said William L. Hill his heirs & assgins forever a certain peice or parcil of Land situate lying & being in the County of said Duplin & Wayne on the North Side of Gosher Swamp and both sides of the Rail Road bounded as follows (vizt) Begining at a pine Water oak & Sassafras on the run of white oak Branch Lemuel Cherrys corner and runs with his line North 53 Wt. 22 3/4 poles to a stake on the run of said Branch his other corner then with his other line Wt. 59 1/2 poles to a White oak his other corner at the head of the said Branch then with his other line & past corner No. 2 Et. 141 poles to a stake & pine then South 88 Et. 201 poles to a sweet gum in Thunder Swamp Pocoson then No. 221 poles to a Small post oak Bush & Large pine then No. 89 1/2 Et. 18 poles to a stake on the Et. side of the Rail Road then No. 1 Et 52 poles to a stake the Et 68 poles to a stake & pointers then So 3 Wt 52 poles to a stake in the old Hard Bizzell Deed line then with said line S 89 1/2 Et, 54 1/2 poles to a large dead pine on the side of a small Ditch then So 1 Et 241 poles to a Holly in Thunder Swamp & N. E. Pocoson then crossing the Road So 32 Et 107 poles to a black jack on the path Leml Cherrys corner then with his line No. 72 Et. 133 poles to two post oaks his other corner at the corner of said Cherrys fence then with his other line So 29 Et 116 poles to a pine his other corner then with his & Dudleys line So 58 Wt 206 poles to a dead Water oak in the White Oak Pocoson the said William L. Hills corner then with his line, as No 75 Wt 125 poles to a water oak & sourwood at the head of the Ditch then down and along the ditch No 86 Wt 28 poles then So 70 wt 26 poles then No 70 wt 20 poles to the Road then down and along the Run of the Branches it meanders to the mouth at the Run of the White oak Branch then up the run of said White oak Branch as it meanders to the first station containing Eight hundred & Eighty six acres To have & to hold the aforesaid bargained land & premises to gether with all & singular the profits Benefits priveledges & appurtenances there unto Belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the said William L. Hill his heirs & assings Forever free & clear from all incumbrances whatsoever & I the said Elijah Bizzell do by these presents covenant promis & agree to bind my self my hires Executors adms. or assigns to warrant & forever defend the above mentioned Land and premises from or against the Lawfull claim or claims of any manner of person or persons whatsoever unto him the said William L. Hill his hiers Extrs admtrs or assigns forever In witness whereof I the said Elijah Bizzell hath hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal the day & date first above written E Bizzell Syned sealed and Delivered In the presents of William M.
