(Transcribed by Joan S DUnn) Deed Book 12 Page 90, 91, & 92 Elesebeth Teachey To Kity Jane Techey Deed 70 acres State of North Carolina Duplin County Know all men by these presents that I Elizabeth Teachey of the same State and County afsd for the tender affection I have for my daughter Kity Jane Teachey give unto her a certain tract or parcel of land Bounded as follows on the west sid of the North East river and on both sides of persimon Swamp begining at a water oak James Hall new corner and runs with his line No 55 W crosing Persimon 50 poles to a pine thence No 35 W 90 poles to a ded black jack then So 68 West 60 poles to a stake on Manteres Line then with said line So 18 Est 96 poles To a lightwood tree then So 85 Est 28 poles to a large red oak on persimon Then So 5 Est crosing persimon 32 poles to a pine on the So side of said Swamp then down the edge of said swamp to the begining containing by estimation seventy acres be the same more or less all of which Land I wart and forever defend the right To said Kity Jane Teachey her heirs and assigns forever as also from and against the just and lawful claim of my self my heirs Exetrs admistrats or assigns and and other name of person or persons what so ever in witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and afix my seal this 17th day of January 1839 Elisbeth Teachey attest A Newkirk State of North Carolina Duplin County Court of pleas and Quarter Sessions Octr Term 1839 the Execution of the within deed is duly proved in open Court by the oath of Alexander Newkirk the subscribing witness there to & is ordered to be register Test James Dickson Clk Copy E M Routledge for N Routledge Rgr
