Edward O. Pearsall Thos U Pearsall & John Pearsall To Bryan Sollis
Deed 320 acres
This Indenture made the third day of September in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight
hundred & thirty nine between Edward O. Pearsall Thomas U Pearsall & John D. Pearsall of
the State of North Carolina & County of Duplin of the one part & Bryan Sollis of the other
part Witnesseth that we the said Edward O. Thomas U & John D Pearsall for the consideration
of the sum of one Thousand Dollars to us in hand paid by the said Bryan Sollis the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold & conveyed unto the said Bryan Sollis his
heirs & assigns forever a certain or piece of land lying in the County of Duplin & on the
North side of Goshen Swamp & on both sides of the main Road leading from Bear marsh to Poly
Bridge branch Begining at a Sweet Gum at the Edge of the mill pond & runs through the plantation
so 84 Et 143 poles to a persimmon by the Grave Yard then So 76 Et 203 poles to a Blackjack
at the head of Poly bridge Branch then down the run of said branch as it meanders to a Bay &
maple on the Run of said Branch then No 54 wt 116 1/2 poles to a pine then wt 84 poles to a
stake then No 45 wt 51 poles to a stake then So 72 wt 53 poles to a sweet gum at the head of
the dividing branch then down the run of said Branch as it meanders to a Sweet Gum then No 13
wt 60 poles to a Lee whortlebury on the Run of Bear marsh then down the mill pond So 20 1/2 wt
54 poles to a sweet gum then down the Edge of the mill pond to the Begining containing 320
acres more or Less to have & to hold the said Land with all improvements premises & appurtenances
there unto Belonging to him the said Bryan Sollis his heirs & assigns forever & we the said Edward
O Thomas U & John D Pearsall do warrant & forever defend the land from us our heirs & assigns unto
him the said Bryan Sollis and from the Lawfull claim of all persons whatsoever In testimony whereof
we the said Edward O Thomas U & John D Pearsall have hereunto set our hand & affixed our seals the
4th day of September AD 1839
