Edward Armstrong & John Dickson To James Middleton
Bill of sale
State of No. Carolina Duplin County
Know all men by these presents that we Edward Armstrong and John Dickson both of the
County and state aforesaid have Bargained sold and Delivered to Captain James Middleton of the
same place one negroe girl named Annia for and In Consideration of the sum of one Hundred and
seven pounds ten shillings current money of the state of North Carolina, which negroe woman We
do and will forever warrant and Defend unto the said James Middleton his heirs and assigns
forever, from and against the Just and Lawfull Claim or Demand of any person whatever In Witness
whereof we Have hereunto set our hands and seald this 15th Febuary 1791
signed sealed and Delivered

Then was the within Bill of sale proved in open Court by the oath of John McGowen and ordered to be
