Edmon Walker To Giles T Loftin

State of North Carolina Duplin County

This Indenture made this 7th day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight 
hundred and thirty seven Between Edmond Walker of the County and State aforesaid of the 
one part and Giles T Loftin of the same County and State of the other part Witnesseth 
that for and in consideration of sum of Two Hundred and Eighty Dollars to the said Edmon 
Walker in hand paid by Giles T Loftin at on before the sealing and delivery of these 
presents the Rect whereof is acknowledged thereof to be there with fully satisfied 
contented and paid have given granted Bargained and sold and by presents do give grant 
sit over unto Giles T Loftin the following messuarge tract or parcel of Land situate 
lying and being in the County and aforesaid and on the waters of Healls Marsh bounded 
as follows (To wit) Begining at a bay in the Greate Branch and runs North to the Run of 
Panther Branch as it meanders to Winders line then East 130 poles to a stake thence So 
12 Et 100 poles to a pine Then So 13 Wt to stake in the Great Branch thence down the Run 
of the Great Branch to the begining containing Two hundred and Twenty five acres To have 
and to hold the Before Bargained Land and premises withall the Privaledged Possity 
heriditaments or advantages whatsoever to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining 
to him the said Giles T Loftin his heirs extrs adms or assigns forever and the said Edmon 
Walker doth for his part Bind and oblige himself his heirs Extrs adms and assigns to 
warrant secure an forever the before Bargained Land free and clear of all manner of in 
cumbrance whatsoever and from and against the Just and lawfull claim or demand of all and 
every other person or persons whatsoever claiming any Right Title Intrust use Trust or 
property on the same or any part or parcel there of In witness whereof the said Edmon Walker 
have here unto set his hand and seal day and date first written
