(Transcribed by Jesse Thomas Bostic, Jr. and Elizabeth Bostic Ross) This indenture made this 9th day of October in the year of our Lord, 1845, between JOHN BOSTWICK of the State of North Carolina & County of Duplin of the one part & JOHN MILLER BOSTWICK of the same County and State of the other part Witnesseth that I the said JOHN BOSTWICK do for the natural love & affection which I have & bear unto my son JOHN MILLER BOSTWICK do give unto him the following lands on the East side of a l DEED TO JOHN MILLER BOSTWICK FROM JOHN BOSTWICK (1845)arge ditch running through my Plantation viz Beginning at a pine near the old ford on Jesse's line & runs along the course of Stephens Swamp known by the name of the J. HALL place containing by estimation 200 acres be the same more or less. I the aforesaid JOHN BOSTWICK do give unto my son JOHN MILLER BOSTWICK all the lands I own on the East side of the big ditch as above described after my death to him & his heirs forever from me & my heirs forever & from the lawful claims of any person or persons.
