David Quinn To Nancy Boyette and others Deed 21 March 1826

(Transcribed by David Dunn) David Quinn Deed for To Nancy Boyette and others 346 acres State of North Carolina Duplin County Know all men that I David Quinn of the County of State aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of Five Dollars good and lawful money but more especially for and in consideration of the natural love good will and affection which I have and do bear to want my beloved children have given and granted and do hereby give and grant unto my beloved children, to wit, Nancy Boyette, Mary Ezzell, Fanny Herring, Elenor Rogers, Catherine Quinn, Elizabeth Quinn one certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in the County and State aforesaid on the west side of Maxwell swamp containing three hundred and forty six acres more or less including the manor plantation where on I now live. The boundaries of said land I shall not here attempt to describe refer therefore to the patents and grants may more fully appear it being all the lands which I now possess. Anything all of my own and my wife Ester Quinn’s Natural lifetime only excepted or during her natural lifetime or widowhood excepted. To have and to hold the aforesaid land and premises with all and singular the houses and out houses, stock of cattle, hogs and horses, sheep, farming utensils, to gather with to gather with. House hold furniture to the same belonging or in any wise appointing to them the aforesaid Nancy Boyette wife of Michael Boyette, Mary Ezzell wife of Benjamin Ezzell, Fanny Herring wife of Jacob Herring, Elenor Rogers wife of Peter Rogers, Catherine Quinn and Elizabeth Quinn to them and their heirs forever free and clear of all and any manner of encumbrances whatever and I the said David Quinn do forever warrant and defend the above land and premises and every part and parcel thereof forever the lawful claim of any other person or persons whatever in witness whereof I the said David Quinn Hath here unto set my hand and seal the 21st day of March 1826 Signed sealed and delivered In person of David Quinn (seal) Witness William Swinson Jessie Newton
