(Transcribed by Joan S DUnn) Deed Book E Page 349 & 350 David Murdock To James Pearsall Bill of Sale 3 Negroes Know all men by these presents that I David Murdoch for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds Current money of North Carolina have a granted and bargained and sold and in plain open Market Delivered unto AJames Pearsall three negroes namely a negore man slave called Daniel and negroe woman named Phillis and one negroe female child about four years old named Warsaw which three negroes I bind and oblige myself my heirs Executors administrators and every of them to warrant and Defend the said three negores to him he said James Pearsall his heirs and assigns from and against the Just and Lawfull Claim of any person or persons whatsoever as witness my hand ansd seal this 6th day of February 1791 signed sealed and Delivered in Presence of David Murdoch Thomas Routledge Charles Brown State of No. Carolina Duplin County July Term 1791 Then was the within Bill of sale acknowledged in open Court and ordered to be Registered.
