Granted to Daniel Southerland fifty five acres of land in Duplin County E'side 
the North East River. Begining at a bunch of small bays and a gum in a branch 
on his own line of a survey patented by Henry Gillman being Auston Bryans 
Corner, and runs his own line North 25. W.110. poles to a pine_ Thence S.61.
W.84.poles to a pine said to be at Coxes or blakes back line. Thence the 
course of said back line S.25.E.96. pole to three gums and an ashe in branch 
his and Auston Bryans Corner_ Thence up the meanders of said branch with 
Auston Bryans line to the Begining____
Dated the 20th day of dec in the 16.year of our independence and in the year 
of our Lord 1791
