(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book 12 Page 110, & 111 Catharine Frederick To Ann Taylor John Frederick & Thos K Frederick Bill of sale for Negroes State of North Carolina Duplin County Whereas Felix Frederick late of the County of Duplin by virtue of his last will & Testament bequeathed to his wife Catharine Frederick for and during the term of her natural life a Negro woman named Betty and after her death to Ann Taylor wife of Isaac Taylor and his three sons John Frederick James Frederick and Thomas Kenan Frederick and whereas the said Negro woman Bettey has had since the death of the said Felix Frederick the following named Negro children Moses David Cassey Catharine Eliza Jane and William Allen and whereas the said Catharine Frederick wife of the said Felix is Willing to Release her interest in said Negro children aforesaid to the reversioning Ann Taylor John Frederick James Frederick & Thomas Kenan Frederick all her right title & interest in and to said Negro children to the Reversioning aforesaid Now therefore I the said Catharine Frederick for and in consideration of the sum of one Dollar to me paid by the said Ann Taylor John Frederick James Frederick & Thomas K Frederick the payment of which I do hereby acknowledge myself fully satisfied and paid have released and and assigned all my right title & Interest in the Negro children aforesaid vs Moses David Cassey Catharine Elizer Junr & William Allen to the aforesaid Reversiones Ann Taylor John Frederick & Thomas K. Frederick & their Heirs forever In Testimony whereof I the said Catharine Frederick have hereunto set my hand & seal this the 15th day of July AD 1839 (the word forever interlined) Signed sealed & delivered in the presence of Catharine Frederick Test James Winders State of North Carolina Duplin County Court of please & Quarter Sessions October term 1839 The Execution of the within bill of sale is duly proved in open Court by the oath of James Winders the subscribing witness thereto & is ordered to be registered Copy N Routledge Rgr Test Jas Dickson Clk
