(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book 12 Page 125, & 126 Bryan Sollis To Jas & Wm Pearsall Deed 155 acres Jany 1840 This Indenture made this twenty second day of November in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred & thirty nine between Bryan Sollis of the County of Duplin in the State of North Carolina of the one part & James D Pearsall & William F. Pearsall Sons of the late Hugh Pearsall of the other part witnesseth that the said Bryan Sollis for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred & fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the said Hugh Pearsall in his lifetime the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged ( and the title bond bearing date 24th January 1837 will fully substatiate) hath granted bargained sold & set over and do by these presents grant bargain set over sell & deliver untot he said James D Pearsall & William F Pearsall all that tract or parcil of Land in the County of Duplin on & near Bear marsh & Cowhole Swamps begining at a pine Grahams corner & runs a long his line No 30 Et 113 poles to a large red oak John Carrs corner thence along his line So 75 Et 64 poles to a pine thence so 76 Et 50 poles to a large pine by the Road thence so 17 Et 50 poles a long the road the road continued south 40 Et 94 poles to the run of Bear marsh thence down the run as it meanders to the line of the Land sold by William Rhodes to Hugh Pearsall thence with the various courses of said Land to the begining containing by estimation one hundred & fifty five acres more or Less to have and to hold the said bargained lands & premises to the said James D. Pearsall & William F. Pearsall & their heirs forever and the said Bryan Sollis doth here covenant to warrant & securely defend the title of the aforesaid bargained land & premises to the said James D. Pearsall & William F.
