(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book B Page 126 Benjamin Tanner one hundred and fifty acres of land in Duplin County on the west side of the No. East River and No. side of Persimmon Swamp. Begining at a pine his own corner. The first station of James Gillespies three hundred acre survey. Thence his own line No. 45 Wt. 128 poles to a lightwood stump. Thence So. 45 Wt. 37 poles to a gum in the creek edge. Thence down the creek 206 poles to a Holley on Ebenezer Garrisons line 12 poles from his corner, thence his line No. 55 Et. 143 poles to a black jack his corner. Thence No. 10 Wt. 160 po. to a pine by Gillespies line and with Gillespies and his own line to the begining. Dated the Twenty first day of September 1785
