(Transcribed by Joan S DUnn) Deed Book B Page 75 Benjamin Lanier one hundred acres of land in Duplin County on the Wt. side of Buttell Hill Branch, a branch of Rockfish Creek. Including his improvements. Begining at a pine on the branch side, thence up near to a small branch. So. 100 poles to a pine. Thence Et. 70 pole to a white oak. Thence So. 55 Et. 77 poles to a pine. Thence So. 15 Et. joining Thomas Crumptons line 52 poles to a red oak pine and Hickory by the head of a Drean, then down said drean Et. about 50 poles to the run of Burrills Hill branch. Thence up the run of said branch with Thomas Crumptons line to the begining. Dated the 29th day of October 1782
