(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book E Page 376 Benjamin Barlow & Others To William Sullavin Bill of Sale New Hanover County State of No. Carolina We the under signers have sold and Delivered and by these presents do sell and Deliver unto William Sullavin Two Slaves, to wit, one malatto girl by the name of Priss, thirteen years of age or there about, and the other by the name Jude of about the same age, for and in Consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty seven dollars, the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge. And we do hereby agree to warrant and Defend the said William Sullavan his heirs and assigns in the Quiet and peaceable possession and right of the said Negroe Slaves all claims and demands whatsoever. In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals in Wilmington this twenty fifty day of October 1790. The above of negroe slaves Benjamin Barlow Was made before signing In presence of J. Mallits Joselin Dube Fredrick Sullavin State of No. Carolina October Term 1791 Duplin County Then was the within Bill of Sale proved in open Cour by the oath of Fredrick Sulliven and ordered to be Registered.
