Benjamin Adams To Robert Ivey
Deed 540 acres
This Indenture made this eighteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred
and ninety one between Benjamin Adams of Bladen County and State of North Carolina on the one part and Robery
Ivey of Dobbs County and State aforesaid on the other part. Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the
sum of one hundred and twenty pounds Current money of the State of North Carolina by the said Robert Ivey to
the said Benjamin Adams in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby fully acknowledged I the said Benjamin Adams
hath given granted Bargained and sold and by these presents do give grant Bargain and sell unto the said Robert
Ivey his heirs and assigns forever a Certain piece or parcel of Land lying and being in Duplin County and State
aforesaid. Beginning at a hickory pine and Red Oak the north side of Azanahs Branch a prong of Mathews Branch
and runs thence So. 30 to a pine Benjamin Thompsons Corner tree. Thence by the choped trees marked by the said
Thompson and Benjamin Adams to a corner pine on Lewis Barnses line thence the said Lewis Barnses line No. 65
degrees Et. To a pine thence crossing Cowhole Branch No. 30 Et. 208 pole to a pine thence George Smiths line No.
122 pole to a pine thence to the Beginning excepting the land upon the North side Azariahs Branch containing five
hundred and forty acres be the same more or less. To have and to hold the aforesaid five hundred forty acres of
Land with the appurtainces and all Right previledges and Improvements to the same in any wise belonging to him
the said Robert Ivey his heirs and assigns forever and I the said Benjamin Adams for myself my heirs and assigns
do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said Robert Ivey that he the said Robert Ivey his heirs and assigns
shall and may forever hereafter peaceably and Quietly have hold occupy and possess & Enjoy the aforesaid granted
Land and premises without the let or molestation of any person whatsoever and free & Clear from all and all manner
of Incumbrances whatsoever and that said Benjamin Adams doth oblige himself his heirs Executors and administrators
to warrant and Defend the afore granted Land and premises to him the said Robert Ivey his heirs and assigns
forever against the Claim of all persons whatsoever. In witness whereof the parties have hereunto set their
hands and seals the day and year above written.
