Deed 141 acres Land

This Indenture made this 15th of Jany. A. D. one Thousand Eight hundred & thirty 
nine witnesseth that I Benajah Carrell of the State of North Carolina and County of 
Duplin hath for and in consideration of the sum of Three Hundred & fifty Two dollars 
and fifty cents to me paid or secured hath bargained sold & forever set oever 
to Thomas McGee Senr. of the same place a tract or parcel of Land in Duplin County 
aforesaid on the South side of Maxwell Swamp Beginning at a Gum at the mouth of 
James Branch on the run of Maxwell Swamp thence up with the run about No. 25 
Et. 40 poles to a Gum thence No. 50 Wt. 14 poles to a stake thence No. 25 west 
148 poles to a stake on the run of Armstrongs Branch thence up with said run No. 
60 wt 86 poles to the mouth of Mill Branch thence up with said Branch nearly South 
60 wt 39 poles to a Tum thence South 2 Et 134 poles to a small gum on the run of 
James Branch thence down with said run to the Beginning containing one hundred &
forty one acres be the same more or less I the said Benajah Carrell do by these 
presents warrant & defend forever the above mentioned lands & premises with all the 
appurtenances thereto belonging to him the aforesaid Thomas McGee Senr. his heirs 
& assigns forever free & clear from all incumbrances whatever against myself my heirs 
& assigns forever also against the claims of all persons whatsoever in witness whereof 
I have set my hand and affixed my seal the day & date above written.
