(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book E Page 317, 318, & 319 Arther Boyet To Samuel Boyet Deed 40 acres This Indenture made this Fourteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety one. Between Arther Boyet of the County of Duplin and State of North Carolina Planter of the one part and Samuel Boyet of the same County and state aforesaid Planter of the other part witness the said Arther Boyet for and in consideration of the sum of fity pounds specie to him in hand paid before the signing sealing and Delivering of these present by the said Samuel Boyet whereof I do acknowledge myself fully satisfied contented and paid and every part and parcel thereof have bargained and sold unto Samuel Boyet a certain Tract or parcel of Land lying and being in the County and state aforesaid on the north side of the Grove swamp on the upper side of ashe branch begining at a black gum on the edge of Ashe Branch at the mouth of a little Branch called the dividing Branch thence up the branch to a pine on Arther Boyets old line thence to a Black jack his corner thence with his line So. 25 Et. 107 pole to a pine thence No. 50 Et. 51 pole to an ashe at the Run of Ashe Branch thence with the meanders of said Branch to the Begining. Containing by estimation Forty acres more or less. To have and to hold the aforesaid Land and premises to him the said Samuel Boyet his heirs and assigns forever with all the appurtainments thereunto belonging or in any wise appurtaining and the said Arther Boyet doth for himself his heirs Executors administrators and assigns doth forever warrant and Defend the aforesaid Land and premises unto the aforesaid Samuel Boyet his heirs and assigns forever to them and their only proper use benefit and behoofe free from all former gifts grants judgements mortgages Dowers or any other Incumbrances of any kind whatsoever and the said Samuel Boyet his heirs and assigns the above bargained premises shall and may from time to time and at all times have hold use occupy enjoy and possess the above bargained Land and premises as his own free and Lawfull Inheritance from him the said Arther Boyet his heirs and assigns or any person or persons whatsoever according to the True Intent and meaning of these present whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixt my seal the day and date above written. signed sealed and Delivered in presence of Arther Boyet William Boyet Ephram Boyet State of No. Carolina Duplin County July Term 1791 Then was the within Deed acknowledged in open Court and ordered to be Registered.
