Andrew Neely To James Bland
Deed for 100 acres lands
This indenture made the twenty eighth day of November in the eleventh of American
Independence & in the year of our one thousand seven hundred & eighty six. Between Andrew
Neely of the County of Sampson & State of No. Carolina of the one part James Bland of the
County of Duplin & State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth, that he the said Andrew
Neely for and in consideration of the sum of thirty pounds to him in hand paid by the said
James Bland, the receipt whereof the said Andrew Neely doth acknowledge, & thereof doth
acquit and discharge the said James Bland his heirs and assigns forever, he the said Andrew
Neely hath granted bargained sold aliend & by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien
& confirm unto the said James Bland his heirs and assigns forever, a tract or parcel of
land lying & being in the County of Duplin in the said State on a branch of Rockfish called
the Iron Mine Branch. Begining at a pine or George Merrits line, running thence as his
line So. 66 Wt. 150 poles to a stake, thence No. 24 Wt. 120 poles to a stake, thence No.
66 Et. 140 poles to a stake, thence to the first station, containing one hundred acres in
the whole, togeather with all & singular the woods undeerwoods profits commodities
emoluments & heriditaments whatsoever to the said premises belonging or in any wise
appertaining to the said premises & every part thereof, with the appurtenances & also all
the estate righty title interest claim & demand of him the said Andrew Neely of in and to
the said premises & every part thereof. To have and to hold the said lands & premises &
every part thereof with the appurtenances unto the said James Bland his heirs & assigns,
to the only proper use benefit & behoof of the said James Bland his heirs and assigns
forever, and the said Andrew Neely for himself his heirs executors administrators &
assigns, doth hereby warrant and forever defend the before recited lands & premises and
every part thereof unto the said James Bland his heirs & assigns forever, agains the
lawfull claim or claims of any person or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof he the
said Andrew Neely hath hereunto set his hand and fixed his seal the day & year first
above written.
