Heath Deed Book B-11 Page 19, 20, & 21 Deed for 218 acres This Indenture made this thirteenth of Dec. in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty six between Alexander Heath of the one part & William L. Heath of the other part both of the County of Duplin and State of North Carolina Witnesseth that I Alexander Heath have this day bargained & given & do by these presents bargain convey & confirm all that messuage tract or parcel of Land Situate lying & being in the County of Duplin on the ______ of Maxwell Swamp unto the said William L. Heath for his only proper use and benefit thereof Alexander Heath & Margaret Heaths lifetime exception) all the above mentioned Land beginning as follows (Viz) Beginning at a small Black Gum on the west edge of Maxwell Swamp and runs thereof No. 50 Et. 34 poles to an ash on the run of said Swamp and at the mouth of Folly Branch thence up the run of said Branch as it meanders a course nearly No. 40 Et. 50 pole to a water oak at the mouth of a small drain thence up said drain as it meanders So. 72 Et. 20 poles to the mouth of a ditch thence up said Ditch No. 72 Et. 40 poles to a small Sweet Gum at the turn of the ditch thence No. 55 Et. 46 poles to a Small Short leafed pine thence No. 28 Et. 11 poles to a pine thence No. 67 Et. 76 poles to a pine on the back line thence So. 20 Et. 165 pole to a Small Sweet Gum on the run of Spring Branch thence down the run of said Branch as it meanders nearly So. 50 wt 160 poles to an ash thence No. 30 wt 118 poles to a pine thence So. 55 wt 92 poles to a stake on the west edge of said Swamp 60 poles to the beginning containing by survey two hundred and Eighteen acres be the same more or less to have and to hold the above described land and premises with all & Singular the appurtenances there unto belonging that is after my decease and the decease of my wife Margaret for and in consideration of the good will and esteem I bear to my beloved son Wm. L. Heath confirm to him his heirs and assigns forever the said Land & premises from my heirs & assigns my self & Margaret Heath excepted and from the Lawfull right title and claim of any person or persons whatsoever (my self that is Alexander Heath and wife Margaret Heath reserves their lifetime on the said piece of Land unto him the said William L. Heath &c. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal Signed sealed & delivered in the presence of us Thos.
