Adam Runchey one hundred acres of land in Duplin County on the
No. side of Maxwell Swamp and both sides of Elder branch or creek.
Begining at an elm & maple at the run of Maxwell Creek. Thence
along Thalleys line No. 35 Wt. 92 poles to a stake. Thence the
course of his own line (and supposed to be on it) No. 48 East 100
poles to a water oak in Elder Swamp. Thence the course continued
44 poles to a white oak. Thence his other line So. 62 Et. 20 poles
to a pine. Thence as his line of a survey patened by Timothy Murphy
So. 50 Et. 80 poles to a bunch of red oaks his corner. Thence his
other line Crossing Elder Swamp So. 40 Wt. to the Maxwell Creek
and up the same as it meanders to the begining.
Dated the 21st of September 1785
