Abraham Beesley To Austin Beesley
Deed for 100 acres lands
To all to whom these presents shall come greeting. Know ye that I Abraham Besly
of the State of North Carolina & County of New Hanover for the sum of twelve pounds current
money to me in hand paid, have bargained sold assigned & set over to Austin Beesley of the
same State & County of Duplin one certain tract or parcel of land situate lying & being in
Duplin County on the main prong of Millers Mill Branch on both sides though a little above
the old dam. Begining at a black gum and an elm on the side of the Boiling Spring run
about 400 or 50 yards from the Creek, thence down the swamp with Thos. Carlton's line Wt.
77 poles to a sweet gum on Kenanes line, thence as his line crossing the swamp So. 140 poles
to Blown up white oak int he side of a Branch, thence Wt. 62 poles to a pine, thence So.
60 poles to a pine, thence Et. 140 poles to a black jack, thence No. 200 poles, thence to
the begining the contents of a patent granted to said Abraham Beesley the tenth day of
November 1784, containing in the whole one hundred acres be the same more or less. To have
and to hold the aforesaid land and premises with all the previledges thereto belonging of
every nature or kind whatsoever, free from all incumbrances whatever committed or done by
him the said Abraham Beesley or any other person whatever by from or under him & the said
Abraham Beesley the aforesaid land & premises to him the said Austin Beesley will warrant &
forever defend from & against him the said Abraham Beesley his heirs and assigns, as also
from and against the just and lawfull claim of all and every other person or persons whatever
who may hereafter lay any lawfull claim to the same. In witness whereof the said Abraham
Beesley hath hereunto set his hand & seal the date above.
