Aaron Williams To Jacob Wells
Deed for 100 acres lands
This indenture made the twenty fourth day of January seventeen hundred and eighty five,
between Aaron Williams of the County of Duplin & State of No. Carolina of the one part, & Jacob
Wells of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Aaron Williams for and in consideration of
the sum of twenty five pounds specie to him in hand paid by the said Jacob Wells the rect.
whereof the said Aaron Williams doth hereby acknowledge & thereof doth acquit & discharge the
said Jacob Wells his heirs and assigns forever, he the said Aaron Williams hath granted bargained
& sold aliend & confirmed & by these presents doth grant bargain sell aline & confirm unto the
said Jacob Wells his heirs and assigns forever a certain piece of land lying and being in Duplin
County in said State on a Branch of Rockfish called the Big Branch of Fussel's Creek. Begining
at a water oak at the run of said Branch thence No. 80 Et. 90 poles to a pine on or near Thomas
Hill's line, thence No. 10 Wt. 180 pole to a pine, thence So. 80 Wt. 90 pole crossing the main
Branch to a pine in a fork, thence to and with the run of said Branch to the begining, containing
one hundred acres togeather with all and singular, the woods underwoods profits commodities
emoluments and heriditaments whatsoever to the said premises blonging & also all the right title
interest claim & demand of him the said Aaron Williams of in and to the said premises & every
part thereof. To have and to hold the said bargained premises unto the said Jacob Wells his
heirs and assigns forever, and the said Aaron Williams for himself his heirs and assigns do
hereby warrent and defend the above bargained premises unto the said Jacob Wells his heirs &
assigns forever against the lawfull clame or claimes of any person or persons claimin by from
or under me or my heris. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal the day and year
first above written.

Then was the within deed proved in open Court by the oath of Adam Platt & ordered
