Aaron Williams To Adam Platt
Deed for 100 acres lands
This indenture made the twenty fourth day of January seventeen hundred & eighty five,
between Aaron Willimas of the County of Duplin & State of No. Carolina of the one part & Adam
Platt of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth, that the said Aaron Williams for and
in consideration of the sum of thirty pounds specie to him in hand paid by the said Adam Platt
the receipt whereof the said Aaron Williams doth hereby acknowledge, and thereof doth acquit
and discharge the said Adam Platt his heirs and assigns forever, he the said Aaron Williams
hath granted bargained & sold & confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien
& confirm unto the said Adam Platt his heirs and assigns forever, a certain piece of land lying
and being in Duplin County in said State on a Branch of Rockfish called the Big Branch of Fussel's
creek. Begining at a pine the Wt. side of said Branch, thence No. 80 Wt. 100 poles to a pine,
thence So. 10 Et. 180 pole to a pine, thence So. 80 Et. 80 pole to a pine, thence No. 85 Et. 5
poles to a water oak at the run of said Branch, thence up the run as his other line to the first
station, containing in the whole one hundred acres, togeather with all and singular the woods
underwoods profits comodities emoluments & heriditaments whatsoever to the said premises
belonging, and also all the right title interest clame & demand of him the said Aaron Williams
of in and to the said premises & every part thereof. To have and to hold the said bargained
premises unto the said Adam Platt his heirs & assigns forever & the said Aaron Williams for
himself his heirs & assigns do hereby warrent and forever defend the above bargained premises
unto the said Adam Platt his heirs & assigns forever against the lawfull claim or clames of any
person or persons claiming by from or under me or mu heirs. In witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand the day & year first above written.

Then was the within deed proved in open Court by the oath of Jacob Wells & ordered
