Solomon Picket Deed 31 December 1792

No. 1329
Granted to Solomon Picket three hundred acres of land in Duplin County on the East side of
the North East River. Begining at a red oak the upper side of Cypress creek below the main
road Charles Grimes's corner the first station of a Patten of 400 acres pattened by John
Ancrum. Thence said line No. 25 Et. 234 poles to a water oak. Thence No. 40 Wt. 100 poles
to an ashe tree on Hollingsworths line by Hollingsworths field a little in the swamp. Then
said Hollingsworths line North 70 Wt. 134 poles to a Bay tree. Thence So. 60 Wt. to and with
James Pickets line 134 poles to a red oak on the river his corner then down the river bank 100
pole to a water oak. Said to be William Pickets corner. Thence So. 75 Et. 20 pole to a gum.
Thence an old line So. 55 Et. 84 poles to a pine. Thence an old line So. 25 Et. 140 poles to
a pine. Then so. 45 Et. 50 pole to a stake by Cypress creek. Then Straight to the first
station.
