Granted to Job Thigpen Two hundred acres of land in Duplin County on both sides of Muddy creek.
Begining at a pine by Padgets line.  Thence his own line No. 15 West 120 poles to a small gum 
in a Little branch his corner.  Thence his other line So. 75 Wt. 130 poles to a Cypress in the 
creek.  Thence No. 15 Wt. 40 poles to a stake in the fork of the swamp of said Muddy creek & 
Woodwards swamp.  Thence No. 60 Wt. 32 poles to a white oak John Woodwards corner.  Thence 
Woodwards line No. 45 Et. 200 poles to a pine his corner.  Thence Lees old line So. 15 Et. 36 
poles to a pine.  Thence So. 15 Et. crossing Stephens's Swamp 66 poles to a poplar in the East 
edge thereof.  Thence South 73 West 18 poles to a poplar Joel Wilders corner. Thence his line 
South 50 Wt. 48 poles to a white oak. Thence up Muddy creek with Joel Wilders line about South 
80 Et. 180 poles to an ashe his corner.  Thence up the swamp about South 68 Et. 58 poles to a 
Maple Henry Fountains corner.  Thence crossing the creek & along Fountains line South 20 Wt. 
184 poles to  a pine sapling his corner.  Thence Wt. 41 poles to a stake.  Thence Padgets line 
No. 10 Et. 170 poles to a white oak.  Thence 80 West 106 poles to a white oak.  Thence So. 5 Et.
96 poles to a pine.  Thence No. 80 Et. 50 poles to the Begining.
