Granted to James Rogers one hundred acres of land in Duplin County on the Wt. side of Maxwell 
Swamp and South side of Carrs branch.  Begining at a pine on the line of a survey of 250 acres 
that was Patened by Frederick Lewis.  Thence So. 5, Et. 164 poles to a pine.  Thence Wt. 104 
poles to a pine.  Thence No. 44 poles to a pine on Alex. Prters line.  Thence his line Et. 22 
poles to a pine his corner.  Thence his other line No. 124 poles to a water oak in a pond his 
corner.  Thence his other line West 42 poles to a pine.  Thence No. 48 poles to a pine.  Thence 
to the Begining.
