Granted to James Rogers one hundred acres of land in Duplin County on the Head of Carrs
branch and the drans of Beesleys Mill swamp. Begining at a white oak Thomas Carltons old
corner of 150 acres patened by Thos. Johnston on the edge of the swamp. Thence Carltons
ine No. 155 poles to a pine to a pine. Thence Carltons other line No. 12, Et. 32 poles to
a old stump of a red oak his corner of a survey patened by Charles Acklin. Thence Carltons
line No. 40, Et. 76 poles to a white oak said Rogers's corner. Thence his line No. 65, Et.
86 poles to a pine his corner. Thence his line No. 75, Et. 36 poles to a pine and black jack
his corner. Thence his line of land patened by Frederick Lewis So. 92 pole to a pine his corner.
Thence a straight line to Alex. Porters 4th corner about So. 67, Wt. 140 poles to a black jack.
Thence Porters line So. 20, Wt. 100 to a stake. Thence to the begining.
