Granted to Benjamin Herring 50 acres of land in Duplin County on the North side of Goshen Swamp 
and on the Drains of Herrings Mill Swamp.  Begining at a pine East side of Ground Nuts branch 
his own corner.  Thence his own line across the branch North 75 Wt. 20 poles to a pine.  Thence 
his line of another survey North 148 poles to a pine in Rice ground branch.  Thence to and with 
another of his line East 92 poles to a gum his corner in a branch.  Thence So. 40 poles.  Thence
to the Begining.
