Bryant H. Sullivan
Birth: September 9, 1839, Duplin County
Military records show he was born in Duplin County where he resided as a farmer and enlisted in Company B, 3rd Regiment North Carolina Troops at the age of 22 on June 18, 1861 for the war at the rank of Private. The original Muster Roll of this company was actually mustered into service on July 20, 1861 by the State of North Carolina. He was wounded at Sharpsburg, Maryland on September 17, 1862 and discharged on January 20, 1863 by reason of gunshot wound in right arm that stiffened and rendered the arm useless.
Death: September 13, 1909
Buried: Sullivan Cemetery located on State Road 1522, .2 miles east from State Road 1502, on the south side, Duplin County.



Side note: Their father was Insil Sullivan. His original will and court probate papers from 1890 and 1891are in the State Archives.
