This information is contributed by Gail D. Buchanan Samuel William Bradshaw, born 1843 and died August 7, 1918 married
to Catherine Jean Savage, born October 23, 1942 and died April 1, 1927.
Samuel was in the Civil War, with 30th Infantry NC Company E. He was based
at Camp Lamb around Cape Fear until 1862 when his troop went to Richmond
Virginia as part of the Army of Virginia. He participated in the Seven Days
Battle and was wounded in Gaines' Mill Battle which took place on July 1, 1862.
He was discharged from Richmond Hospital on August 2, 1862. |
