Resided in Duplin County and appointed 1st Lieutenant by
Governor Clark to rank from March 10, 1862.  Present or
accounted for through August 1864.  Captured at Bentonville
March 19, 1865 and confined at Point Lookout, Md., until
transferred to Johnson's Island, Ohio April 9, 1865. 
Release after taking Oath of Allegiance June 17, 1865.
