Harold E. Blackmore






Harold E. Blackmore, Private
2nd Co. A, 36th Regt. N. C. T. (2nd Regt. N. C. Art.)

Resided in Duplin County where he enlisted at age 21, 
September 15, 1861 for the war.  Mustered in as Private
and appointed Assistant Ordnance Sergeant November 
1, 1861;  however, he still remained a Private.  Present
or accounted for through August 1864.  Captured at Fort
Fisher January 15, 1865 and confined at Elmira N. Y.,
until released after taking Oath of Allefiance July 7, 1865.
