Edward Franklin Grimes

My Great Grandfather Edward Franklin Grimes was in the civil war. Edward Franklin Grimes was in the 2nd North Carolina Artillary, Co. B, 36 State Troops at Fort Fisher. He served at Fort Fisher, and was captured at the fall of the fort. He was put on a ship and carried to Point Lookout prison camp in Maryland. He and two brothers were there at the same time and walked home after release to Brunswick county. Mr Grimes is buried on the end of River road close to the river and River Landing with a special CSA marker.
