Buckner Lanier Blackmore, Musician
2nd Co. A, 36th Regt. N. C. T. (2nd Regt. N. C. Art.)

Born in Duplin County where he resided and enlisted at
age 15, September 15, 1861 for the war.  Mustered in as
Private and appointed Musician January-February 1862.
Present or accounted for through August 1864.  Captured
at Fort Fisher January 15, 1865 and confined at Elmira,
N. Y., until paroled for exchange February 20, 1865.  
Admitted to hospital at Richmond, Va., March 1, 1865 
and furloughed for thirty days March 9, 1865.
