Benjamin C. Bourden, 2nd Lieutenant Co. B 1st Batt. Nc Heavy Art. Resided in Duplin County and enlisted in New Hanover County at age 18 April 26, 1862 for the war. Mustered in as Sergeant and promoted to 1st Sergeant November-December 1862. Promoted to 2nd Lieutenant to rank from March 7, 1864. Present or accounted for through August 1864.
