Info from Nicholson Bible in possession of Mrs. Elnita M. Langford, Route 1,
Box 167B, Blountstown, FL 32424, as reflected in a letter to Leslie H. Brown,
Jr., on Sept 1st, 1981. Mrs. Langford was the grand daughter of Fannie
Nicholson who is buried in Donaldsonville, GA. Mrs. Langford is the daughter
of Bascom Nicholson Herring and Sarah Sutton.

James Herring & Fannie Nicholson were married Dec. 27, 1868
On the 4th of Dec. 1876 at the residence of Mr. J. P. Oliver, in Mount Olive,
N. C. by Rev. J. R. Oliver, Mr. Gideon Korneay to Miss Mattie E. Nicholson,
daughter of the late Rev. D. B. Nicholson of the N. C. Conference.
At the same time & place by Rev. J. R. Oliver Dr. J. D. Roberts to Miss Ella C.
Nicholson youngest daugher of the late D. B. Nicholson of the N. C. Conference.
On the 20th of Dec. 1876 nat the residence of the brides father Col. L. A.
Powell of Sampson County N.C. by Rev. J. N. Stallings, David B. Nicholson to
Miss Kate A. M. Powell
