  Source: Personal Record Written: 1829 Will of SAMUEL DUNN Probated February Court 1829 - Written Jan. 28, 1829 To my nephew SAMUEL DUNN HOOKS - land whereon I now live adjoining Reedy Branch, reserving 1/2 acres used as a family burying ground where his wife is buried; also, negroes: CATO, CHLOE, VIOLET, CLARY and all her children; two horses: Dolphin and Medler; 2 cows & calves; hogs. feather bed and furniture, desk; half dozen Windsor chairs; shot gun; saddle & bridle; ax, horsecart, yoke of oxen; a tea table; pine table. To my niece, FRANCES, daughter of nephew JAMES DUNN, negro, DINAH and her two children. To my niece, ELIZABETH, daughter of nephew JAMES DUNN, negro ELIZA. To my nephew, JAMES, son of nephew JAMES DUNN, negro STEPNEY. To my niece, SIVIL, daughter of DAVID HOOKS, negro RACHELL and her child, ANN; work stand; feather bed and furniture To my nephew, JAMES DUNN - 415 acres I bought from my brother, WILLIAM, land formerly owned by JAMES CLARKE; negroes CAM & HANAH and her six children: SILVA, ALEXANDER, WASHINGTON, TILLEY, ESTHER, & MARY.
