William Taylor

This information is contributed by Don Matthews

William Taylor was mentioned in Arthur Matthis 1833
pension application before the Duplin Court of Appeals
and Quarter Sessions as an eyewitness to one of
Arthur's five separate Revolutionary War militia
tours. Since Matthis was awarded a pension for his
service, Taylor's military service on that tour is
proved also. Taylor was said to still reside in Duplin
County in 1833.
