Searching for Enoch SIMPSON line in Duplin Co. NC. Listed in 1790 census with wife, Sophia, and three sons--Jeptha, Felix and Jacob W. Enoch had a brother, Asa. All moved to Washington Co. Georgia area around 1810. Guessing that Enoch's father was Peter (in Duplin Co. and would have been of right age) but have yet to find any proof. Anyone have any ideas or information? I've been looking for over 20 years. Thanks.

My aunt and I have been working on our family for over five years now. We have been unable to locate our family past INSIL SULLIVAN (b.1809 and d. 1890). I have been to Duplin County three times in the last month and still don't have conclusive fact as to the parents of INSIL. I found his name listed with Hampton Sullivan,SR and Hampton Sullivan, Jr. in several deed transfers. I do know that INSIL was married to MARY ?, and they had the following children: Sons- Bryant H., Lemuel L., Elias, Cicero,(Sira)sp Daughters-(Eminas)sp, Dorcus. I have a copy of INSIL's will and know that he did live and die in Duplin County. Any verified information would be greatly appreciated. A Searching Sullivan, Elle

There are many of us researching the father of Jonathan (Johnathon) GORE, born bet 1735-40 in Duplin or Brunswick Co., NC. He married Sallie ? @ 1760, and died aft 1806 in Brunswick Co. Speculation is that his father's name was Joshua (m. to Lena EDENS), although we have never been able to make the connection. Jonathan and Sallie had a son, Joseph, b. @ 1770 in either Duplin or Brunswick Co., who in turn had a son named John, born @ 1794, who married Sarah SIMMONS in 1814 in Duplin Co. If anyone can assist a great many of us in establishing this information, or locating Jonathan's parents, we would be very grateful.
