Can anyone help with these queries?

November 2011

My name is Rita Faye Hall (maiden name). I am the Great Great Great Grandaugher of
Gregory (Greg) Hall born in 1803 (approx).

I am pretty sure his grandfather was William Hall 1741-1825 who founded the community
of Hallsville in Duplin county.

What I cannot seem to find his William Hall's son (Gregory's father).
Does anyone have that info? Please contact me. If I can find this I will have a 10
Generation Tree including my own grandchildren !!!

Posted November 9, 2011 My family lived in Duplin County in the 1800s. In 1869 my 2nd great-grandparents were arrested on charges of adultery and fornication in Duplin County and sent to jail in Wilmington. Within a couple of days they were married. Their names were Warren Malpass and Rachel Taylor. I can trace Warren back, but can not find Rachel anywhere before that arrest in 1869. In 1879Warren and his brother killed a man named John Holland near the Duplin/Lenoir county line. The Malpass brothers fled the area and changed their name to Hardison. I find them in South Carolina using the name Hardison in the 1880 census. I really want to find Rachel. Email direct at:

Posted November 10, 2011 I am looking for the burial place of my ancestor, James Grimsley (1772-1834). He lived in the Blizzards Crossroads area of Duplin County. I have visited all the known cemeteries in that area without success. One of his daughters, Sary (Sarah) married a Brock. Another daughter, Margaret, married Stephen F. Duncan on 27 Aug 1833 in Duplin County. If you happen on any info that would help me in my search I would appreciate hearing from you. Email direct at:
